Application for the Positions in the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Committee.

This is to inform all members that in the line with Co-operative rules, three members of the Board and one member of the Supervisory Committee shall be retiring by rotation and are eligible to offer themselves for re-election. This is therefore to invite applications from eligible members for the said positions in the SACCO. Elections will be held during the 41st Annual General Meeting.

Eligibility Criteria;

  • To present dully filled candidate’s nomination form, fitness questionnaire and declaration form below.
  • Must have been a member of the SACCO for a minimum period of thirty-six (36) months
  • Must have saved minimum deposits of Kenya Shillings three hundred and fifty thousand only (Kes 350,000) with the SACCO
  • Must have attained a minimum of “O” level certificate of Education or equivalent except as otherwise expressly exempted by the Commissioner
  • Must be a person of sound mind and high integrity
  • Must not have been barred or prohibited from holding office as a Director or officer of a SACCO Society in Kenya
  • Must not have delinquent loans with the SACCO Society for any period within two (2) years prior to elections
  • Must not have been adversely named by the Authority in an Inspection Report for mismanagement or corrupt practices while still a member of the Board of Directors or officer of a SACCO Society in Kenya
  • Must not be a member of the Board of Directors of another existing SACCO Society authorized or licensed under Sacco Society Act and
  • Other eligibility criteria provided for in the By-Laws applies.

Members who meet the above criteria should forward their applications through  info@kanisa-sacco.org  addressed to the Chairperson of the Nomination and Vetting Committee on or before Friday 17th February 2023 attaching the following document;

  1. Copy of National Identification Card
  2. Valid KRA Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
  3. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  4. of Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission
  5. Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (C.R.B)
  6. Clearance Certificate from Higher Educational Loans Board (H.E.L.B)
  7. A detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating education/professional qualications and key positions held in other organizations/institutions (past and current)
  8. Provide a brief profile of themselves not more than one page.
